Create a Translation for a Page

Last modified by Eleni Cojocariu on 2026/03/19 08:46

Steps

To create a translation for the current Page:

  1. Go to the "Information" tab and click on "Translations" on the language link that you want to translate your Page into, or navigate to the Page that needs to be translated and use the "Translate" button.
  2. Translate the title and/or the content to correspond to the selected language. Your default editor (or the editor you've configured by editing the profile preferences) will open. Any modifications you make will apply only to this translated version, not to the original (Default Page Content).

  3. Save the translation (or discard it) using the Realtime Edit Actions.

FAQ

Why am I not seeing the "Translations" section or the "Translate" button?

It's probably because your administrator hasn't set up your wiki to be multilingual or hasn't selected more languages to be supported.

Why am I not seeing the "Translate" button even if the administrator set up the wiki to be multilingual and selected more languages to be supported?

Even if your administrator set up the wiki to be multilingual and selected more languages to be supported, it could be because you're viewing the Default Page Content and not the translation Page.
