The Realtime edit actions are shown in the following image:

| Action | Type | Usage | Image |
|---|---|---|---|
| Done | Button | Saves the current changes (if they've not been already saved automatically) and returns to viewing the Page. The "Done" button is followed by a dropdown menu that allows you to "Summarize & Done" or "Leave Collaboration". | ![]() |
| Summarize & Done | Drop-up action | Lets you describe your edits before saving with "Done". | ![]() |
| Summary | Tab | Allows adding a brief description of the changes in the "History" tab of the Page and marking a "Minor change". | ![]() |
| Changes | Tab | Allows viewing the latest changes that were made by comparing the version of the Page you're trying to save with the last version that has been saved. | ![]() |
| Leave Collaboration | Drop-up action | Exits the real time collaboration, continues editing alone using the common edit actions. | ![]() |
| Collaborators | Icon | Each user that is in realtime collaboration is displayed and can be identified by the profile avatar and initials of the first and/or the last name. The first 4 collaborators are listed directly on the toolbar, while the rest are available in a dropdown menu. You can click on a collaborator to see where that user is typing (the content is scrolled to that location). | ![]() |
| Summarize Changes | Drop-up action | Same as "Summarize & Done", except that there is no option for "Minor change", as clicking the "Save" button keeps editing the Page after saving the current changes. | ![]() |
| Summary | Tab | Same as "Summary" tab from "Summarize & Done". | ![]() |
| Changes | Tab | Same as "Changes" tab from "Summarize & Done". | ![]() |
| Recent versions | Drop-up action | Displays a modal with the previous versions of the Page. | ![]() |
FAQ
Why do I see different edit actions?
XWiki <16.10.6, <17.3.0 We used to have a different set of Actions before we redesigned the UI for the Realtime In-place editor.
