Set the Language for a Page

Steps

To set the language (previously called "Locale") for the current Page:

  1. Go to the "Information" tab and click on the Edit pencil icon next to the "Language" section.

  2. Select the content language you want to use from the dropdown:

  3. Save the modifications (or discard them).

FAQ

Why am I not seeing the Edit pencil icon next to the "Language" section?

  • It's probably because your administrator hasn't set up your wiki to be multilingual.
  • It could be because you're viewing a translation and not the Original content (Default Page Content) of the Page.

Why do I see "Locale" instead of "Language" in the "Information" tab?

XWiki <17.8.0, <17.4.5  There were some inconsistencies of wording and the UI displayed "Locale".
