Edit a Page with the Object Editor
Steps
To edit a Page with the Object editor:
- Click the dropdown on the "Edit" button, and select "Objects":

- Click on the dropdown to load the XWiki Object information:

Fill in/update the fields. The type of the of fields depends on the XWiki Object definition, which is based on the XWiki Properties (data types) defined in the corresponding XWiki Class.

You can also edit saved XWiki Objects attached to the Page in a separate UI by clicking on the "Edit" pencil icon:

- Save the modifications (or discard them) using the Common Edit Actions.

Why am I not seeing the "Edit" button?
You may not be logged in, or you may not have edit rights for the Page.
Why am I not seeing the dropdown on the "Edit" button?
The dropdown is available only for advanced users.
When should the Object editor be used?
For users, use the Object Editor only to fill in or update fields of Objects on Pages that already have an Object of a Class or a Sheet configured by your administrator. For Pages that don’t already have a Sheet, editing is typically reserved for developers or administrators. In that case, use the developer documentation.
How to correctly complete the fields of the Objects ?
The fields (XWiki Properties) of an Object depend on its Class. The full list of fields and their types, which helps you understand what values are expected can be found in Class Pages.
Why do I see a warning when trying to edit a Page?
It could be because the Page is locked by someone, or because you're trying to edit a protected extension Page.
