Explanation

In XWiki, Pages that belong to an installed extension are protected from editing. This prevents users from accidentally modifying content provided by an extension. Editing can be forced if necessary. For example, to customize or debug an extension. However, it is not recommended unless you have programming or scripting rights.

The administrator can configure which Pages need protection.
