Steps

To insert a link with the BlockNote editor:

1. Select the text to turn into a link.
2. Click the link button of the formatting toolbar, or press Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on macOS).

   

3. Type the address of the target in the field of the popover. It accepts a URL as well as the reference of a Page or of an Attachment.

   

4. Press Enter. The link appears in the content, ready to be followed once the Page is saved.

   

XWiki 18.7.0+ The field suggests the Pages and the Attachments matching what you type, and a modal replaces the popover, offering a display text, a link type ("URL", "Page", "Attachment" or "E-mail") and options such as opening the link in a new tab. Its fields are listed in BlockNote Link Options.

FAQ

How do I change a link I already inserted?

Place the caret inside the link. The toolbar then offers three buttons, to edit the link, to open it and to remove it. The edit button reopens the popover, which additionally offers the text the link is displayed with.
