Change Extension Rights at Page Level

Steps

Grant or deny an extension right on a single page, or on a page and everything below it, which overrides the setting made for the wiki the way Rights Resolution describes for the standard rights.

  1. Administer the Page.
  2. Select "Users & Rights", and then "Extension Rights: Page & Children" to cover the page and its children, or "Extension Rights: Page" to cover this page alone.

  3. Select the "Groups" or the "Users" tab, depending on whom the right is for, then click the check box where the group or user meets the extension right: once to allow it, twice to deny it, and a third time to clear it and fall back to the default value.
  4. Check that the extension right shows as allowed or denied on the page.

FAQ

What is the difference between "Extension Rights: Page & Children" and "Extension Rights: Page"?

"Extension Rights: Page & Children" applies to the page and to all its children, while "Extension Rights: Page" applies to that page alone.

Can I set the Extension Rights for the whole wiki?

Yes, see Change the Extension Rights Globally.

Why am I seeing only "Extension Rights" in the "Users & Rights" menu?

XWiki <18.2.0 A single "Extension Rights" entry was offered, so the choice between applying the rights to the page only or to the page and its children is not available in your version.
