Change the Extension Rights Globally

Steps

Grant or deny a right that an installed extension registers, for the whole wiki. Extension rights are provided by extensions rather than by the standard permission system described in Rights.

  1. Administer your wiki.
  2. Select "Users & Rights", and then "Extension Rights".

  3. Select the "Groups" or the "Users" tab, depending on whom the right is for, then click the check box where the group or user meets the extension right: once to allow it, twice to deny it, and a third time to clear it and fall back to the default value.

  4. Check that the extension right shows as allowed or denied for that group or user.

FAQ

Why do I only see the Like right in the Extension Rights section?

The UI of XWiki Standard displays the Like right, and other rights appear as the extensions registering them are installed.

Can I set an Extension Right on a single page?

Yes, see Change Extension Rights at Page Level.

Why does my wiki administration list two "Extension Rights" entries?

XWiki <18.3.0 The wiki administration also listed the two page level entries, although they only apply to a page. They are now offered in the administration of a page only.
