Steps

Changing who belongs to a group needs the Admin right on the wiki.

  1. Open the wiki administration and go to "Users & Rights" > "Groups".
  2. Click "Edit" in the row of the group:

The Edit action in the Actions column of a group row, next to the Delete action

  3. Pick as many people as you need in "Users to add" and as many groups in "Subgroups to add", then click "Add", which submits both fields at once:

The Edit group dialog box with a user chosen in its Users to add field and a group in its Subgroups to add field, above the Add button they share

  4. They are now in the group:

The member list of the group, holding a user and a group, with a Member, a Type and an Actions column

Taking a member out of the group starts from that same dialog:

  1. Click "Remove" in the member's row. There is no confirmation, so the member leaves as soon as you click:

The Remove action in the Actions column of a member row of the group

  2. The member is out of the group and keeps their account:

FAQ

Can I change the members from the group's own Page?

Yes. Opening the group's Page lists its members with nothing to act on, and editing that Page offers the same two fields and the same "Add" button as the dialog.

Do the members of a subgroup belong to the group?

Yes, and a right given to the group reaches them. The "Members" count in the groups list is no guide here: it counts only the members added to the group itself, not those it holds through its subgroups.
