Find a Page's Backlinks

Steps
Have a connected assistant list the pages that link to a page, so you know what would break if you renamed or deleted it (see Agent Authentication for what it is allowed to see).
- Ask the assistant what links to the page, by title or by reference.
- Check the list it reports: one line per linking page, and how many there are in total.

FAQ
Can I ask this about a page that no longer exists?
Yes, and it is the useful case: the backlinks of a missing page are exactly the links left to repair after a delete or a rename.
A link I know about is missing from the list
Only links written in a page's source are found. A link a macro builds while the page is displayed is not stored anywhere, so nothing can list it.
Can it show what the page itself links to?
Yes. Ask for the outgoing links instead, or for both directions at once.
