Steps

Create a Panel of your own, which holds anything a wiki page can hold and joins the list the Panel Wizard offers as soon as it is saved, out of the parts Panels describes.

1. Open the Panel Wizard and click "Go to Panels".
2. Type the name of the Panel in the "Panel Title" field under "Create a new panel", then click "Create".

   

3. Fill in "Name", "Panel type", "Category" and "Description", whose accepted values are listed in Panel Properties.

   

4. Write the body of the Panel in the "Content" field, between the two Velocity macros that were inserted for you.

5. Click "Save & View".
6. The Panel is listed on the Panels home page and renders once you add it to a column, as follows:

Where is the Panel stored?

In a page of the Panels space named after the title you typed, which the Panels home page links to.

Can I make the Panel appear on one page only?

Not from the Wizard. Add a condition to the Panel's own "Content" field, as Scope of a Panel Configuration shows.

Which macros and variables may the "Content" field use?

Those listed in Panel Content Macros and Variables, on top of everything a wiki page can use.

How do I delete a Panel I no longer want?

Click "Delete" next to it, either on the Panels home page or in the "Panel List" tab of the Wizard. Removing it from a column leaves the Panel in place.
