Steps

Watching a location is how you tell the wiki where the events you care about happen; Watched Entities explains what each state means.

1. Navigate to the page you want to watch.

   

2. Click the watch button, which shows the current state of the page.
3. Select "Follow current page", "Follow current page and its children" or "Follow entire wiki".

   

4. Click "Save changes".
5. Check that the button now reads "Followed".

   

FAQ

Why does the button offer no option on some pages?

Because the page is in the "Custom" state: the window then only explains that a filter of yours is narrower than a watch, and links to your notification settings.
