Explanation
When deleting a Page, consider the following consequences:
- Broken links: All links pointing to the deleted Page will stop working. Before deletion, you can check the backlinks and then, when deleting, use the deletion wizard to choose how to handle them (e.g., by creating a redirect, selecting a replacement Page, or updating links).
- Deleted parent Pages: If you delete a parent Page but keep its children, the parent will still appear in the navigation as a deleted Page, from where it can be restored.
- Access to deleted Pages: Users can only access deleted Pages if they are parents and still have undeleted children Pages (visible in the navigation).
- Administrator actions: Administrators can restore any Page, restore batches of Pages, or permanently delete Pages.
