Reference
The Wiki editor features a toolbar with buttons that help users discover the Syntax and format content, without needing to type the markup, as shown in this image:

| Name | Usage | Output |
|---|---|---|
| Bold, Italic, Underline, Strikethrough, Subscript, Superscript | Format the text. | For all actions, except the "Maximize", the output wraps the selected text using the markup Syntax for the current Page Syntax (e.g., **bold** in XWiki 2.1, *bold* in Confluence 1.0). When no text is selected, it inserts a sample markup Syntax with placeholder text. |
| Bulleted list | Adds unordered list markup. | |
| Numbered list | Adds ordered list markup. | |
| Internal link | Adds link markup. | |
| External link | Adds link markup. | |
| Heading 1-4 | Adds heading markup for levels 1-4. | |
| Horizontal ruler | Inserts horizontal line markup. | |
| Attached image | Inserts image markup. | |
| HTML code | Inserts an HTML Macro to enter HTML code. | |
| Velocity code | Inserts a Velocity Macro to enter Velocity code. | |
| Maximize | Maximizes the editor area to the full size of the browser window. |
