Steps

The administration holds the settings every account on the wiki starts from, described in Notifications.

1. Open the menu at the top right of the page and select "Administer Wiki".

   

2. Select "Notifications" in the administration menu.

   

3. Set the default mail frequency and the default level of detail about the changes in "Email Preferences".
4. Switch the applications and event types new accounts start with ON or OFF in the "Applications" table.
5. Select the default automatic page watching behaviour under "Watched Pages".

   

6. Check that the section shows the values you chose, which every account registered from now on starts from.

   

FAQ

Can I change the settings of one user?

Yes. The "Notifications" tab of their profile shows the same interface they see themselves.

Do my changes reach the accounts that already exist?

Only where the user never overrode the setting, since a user preference always wins over the wiki one.
