Steps
Have a connected assistant read the files attached to a page, and attach new ones where an administrator has enabled the write tools (see Agent Authentication for what it may open and change).
- Ask the assistant to read an attachment, naming the page and the file. It reports the file's metadata first, then its text.
- Ask it to attach a file, and check what it reports: the file it saved, its size, and the page's new version.
FAQ
Can it read a PDF or an office document?
Yes. It gets the text the wiki extracts from the file: the words are there, the layout, the formatting and the images are not.
Can it attach a large file?
No. This door is for small files. Attach anything bigger through the page's own "Attachments" tab.
Can it delete an attachment?
Yes, where the delete tools are enabled. The attachment keeps its own history and goes to the attachment recycle bin, so it can be restored from the wiki.
