Steps

Connect an MCP-capable AI assistant (see "Assistant Documentation Links") to your wiki's MCP endpoint.

1. Obtain the endpoint URL from your wiki administrator.
2. Configure your MCP client with the endpoint URL.
3. Complete the OAuth login flow when prompted. Your client will open a browser or display a URL to authenticate.
4. Once connected, ask the agent to list all available tools in the XWiki MCP server.

Your wiki administrator gives it to you; Configure the MCP Server documents how it is built.

I got a 404 error, what should I do?

A 404 error indicates that the endpoint is turned off for that wiki or the URL is wrong. Please contact your administrator.

I got a 401 error, what should I do now?

A 401 error indicates that authentication is required. Complete the OAuth flow your AI assistant offers.
