Explanation
External content, data, or functionalities can be brought into an XWiki instance. This feature is useful for moving wiki content between instances or performing lightweight backups of your wiki Pages. There are several types of imports in XWiki:
- Importing XWiki Pages. Pages can be imported or exported via XAR (XWiki Archive) files.
- Importing an Extension. Some extensions can also be imported via XAR (XWiki ARchive) files. However, this is not recommended.
- Importing Office Documents.
- Importing from another software and other types of data such as CSV, XML, or JSON using custom scripts or extensions.
- Importing Users.
FAQ
Does importing/exporting XWiki Pages via XAR files replace a proper backup?
