We're delighted to release this first version of the XWiki Eclipse plugin. It's the result of one project from the Google Summer of Code 2007 and was done by Tharindu Jayasuriya and Asiri Rathnayake. I'm also happy to announce that they are now both XWiki committers for the Eclipse plugin and as such will continue their work in the future as normal XWiki committers. This is the last milestone leading to the final 1.1 release. It brings lots of new features, improvements and bug fixes. In total we have fixed over 100 JIRA issues. The remaining releases are now going to be Release Candidates till we get a stable one with no glaring bugs, meaning we'll only be fixing bugs from now on. The 1.1 final release is still planned for early September. See the Release notes for more details on this 1.1M4 release. As usual we need your help for testing it and flushing out any remaining bug. This is mostly a bug fix release. There's also been a big internal change in that XWiki has been reorganized to separate the Platform from the Products developed on top of it and a modular automated build system using Maven2 has been setup. This was done to support the multiple products that will be released in the near future: XWiki Enterprise (the current Wiki you've come to know and love), XWiki Enterprise Manager (Multi Wiki management tool), XWiki Watch (social feed reader) and more. This 1.1 Milestone 2 releases brings several improvements to the Default Wiki (an Index page, a Treeview navigation page, etc) and some WYSIWYG editor improvements (ability to add a horizontal line and ability to remove styling on selected text content). Only a week after our final 1.0 release we're happy to deliver the first milestone of version 1.1. Lots of goodies in this release: an improved default wiki with better a better search page and filterable/sortable tables on most pages (What's New, All Docs, Tags, etc). …

This 1.0 RC 5 release is a bug fix release focused on fixing WYSIWYG editor issues. More specifically it fixes an important bug introduced in RC4 where it wasn't possible anymore to copy/paste content from Word/Excel (or any HTML for that matter) into the WYSIWYG editor. This 1.0 RC 3 release fixes 6 important bugs over the RC2 release and is getting us closer to the final 1.0 release. We'd like the maximum number of users to switch to it in order to flesh out any remaining important issue for the 1.0 release. See the release notes for more details.

This 1.0 RC 2 release fixes 18 over last week's 1.0 RC1 version. We've also implemented secure passwords: passwords are now stored using a strong hash in the database. We're providing a tool to convert existing passwords stored in clear to hashed passwords. See the release notes for more details. …
