The XWiki development team is pleased to announce the release of XWiki Watch 1.0 RC 1.

This is the first release candidate for the 1.0 version, the final release being planned for end June.

Changes from 1.0M4:

• fixed interface and usability bugs (XWATCH-10, XWATCH-104, XWATCH-109, XWATCH-110, XWATCH-145, XWATCH-156, XWATCH-157, XWATCH-159, XWATCH-164, XWATCH-126)

The XWiki Development team is pleased to announce the release of XWiki Workspaces 1.1 Milestone 2. This is the last milestone for the 1.1 cycle, introducing a couple of new features: Public registration with optional captcha can now be enabled from the XWS interface, Responsibilities delegation with Administrators and Power Users groups management, Email invitations to join workspaces, and more. …

This is the first release based on stable XE 1.4 branch.

It include all XE 1.4 and 1.4.1 modifications and add new wiki creation/management features and improvements.

This is an important bugfixes release (including one regression introduced in 1.4) mainly around multiwiki mode and encoding:

• Global groups are not taken into account in a virtual wiki
• Feed plugin's startUpdateFeedsInSpace does not allow to update two or more wiki with same space name in virtual mode
• Macro Mapping does not initialize properly macro definition in multi wiki mode
• The inline edit loses the doc's parent and title attributes
• Wysiwyg editor breaks accents in links
• Curly Quote coming from a Copy Paste is transformed into ? after cache is reset

First milestone of the XWiki Enterprise 1.5 version.

Note that general goals for XWiki Enterprise 1.5 are:

• More bug fixes
• Better performance
• More automated tests
• Overhaul of the Administration

This release spanned a bit more than 2 months starting on the 8th of March 2008 and ending on the 15th of May 2008. During that period we implemented 116 issues, fixing 67 bugs and adding new features such as:

• Attachment Rollback, when rollbacking a wiki page, attachments versions are now rollbacked as well.
• 2 new colors were added for the toucan skin : Black & Dark Blue.
• Keyboard shortcuts were made a generic feature using a standard keyboard shortcuts set, see http://tinyurl.com/3hnvge
• Various performance improvements.
• New Admin page to monitor Requests in your XWiki instance
• The Index page was improved to add realtime page filtering.
• The Watchlist feature now adds a diff in the email it sends when watched documents or spaces are modified. The diff is between "first revision since last notification" and "last revision".
• Added better Active Directory support by supporting case insensitive username.
• Added Galician translation

This release follow XWiki Enterprise 1.4 Release Candidate 1 release to maintain XEM synchronised with XE.

It add the wiki name ajax based validation to the wiki creation page and XE 1.4M2 -> XE 1.4RC1 dependency upgrade.

XWiki Workspaces is a new product of XWiki, that focus on providing easy collaboration for teams around simple wiki, blog, photo galleries and files module, all brought together in its "Workspaces".

This is the final 1.0 version of Workspaces, it brings a few bug fixes since last RC2. You can read the full release notes.
